A small diversion. I’ve been spending a few days in one of my favorite places – New Zealand. This is a country full of beautiful hiking trails, deserted beaches, and spectacular views. And not far from the largest city, Auckland, lie black sand beaches and bush country hiking trails. Many people live near the beaches and work in the city which is just 45 minutes away. The benefits of a small population are many!
Here at Piha not only is there wonderful surfing, but also green-lipped mussels and colorful starfish.
